Was at a Celebration of Life party there today, great food and cold wine (house selection is quite good), they also have a good variety of beers. PERFECT. Nice servers, big TV's and lots of room.
Not a lot of parking though. -

3 stars for a decent neighbourhood pub with classic pub food, pool tables, and darts.
I came to Cedar Cottage with my friend to grab a quick bite over the weekend. She lives in the area and we were craving a beer and some quick pub food. As per usual, I hopped on Yelp and found this spot close by, so we headed on over. Initially we were a little confused where we were supposed to go because there's a coffee shop, liquor store and then the pub, which are all in the same 3 steps. But the lovely man at the liquor store pointed us in the right direction and told us that we needed to go downstairs. So downstairs we went. This whole pub is in the basement which is pretty cool - theres even a sunken patio (where we chose to sit), that kind of feels like a little hidden oasis.
Once we sat ourselves outside, a server came over immediately and gave us menus and took our drink order. I got the chicken strips w/ yam fries and my friend got the calamari. The food came out fairly quickly, which we were happy about since we were starving. I actually really enjoyed my chicken strips and yam fries - it came with quite a bit so I shared some with my gal pal. Her calamari unfortunately was a really tiny portion and wasn't the greatest quality we've tasted. The kitchen was really kind and sent out another order of the calamari since it came out with so little; we didn't even have to ask!
Service was fairly quick and efficient, which I wasn't expecting for a weekend evening.
I don't think I'd come back here unless I was in the area, since there are better dining options close by. But if you're looking for a quick drink and cheap pub food, then drop on by. -

Only place in town that still has Buzztime.
Been going every Tuesday for years....have yet to meet the manager or owner.
Staff is great. Very accommodating and efficient.
When you have employees that wish to do a good job they are gold. Not treated that way by management.
Kitchen does a good job. I usually have one of the daily specials.
Probably would not go here except for the Trivia. -

Recent weekend saw the menu reduced to breakfast only until 2pm.
That's right, no burger with my beer til after 2.
Maybe it was a good thing we squared up and left without ordering food. Passed the kitchen on the way out and noticed things didn't look too clean. -

We went here with another couple on a Saturday night it wasn't to busy and got seated straight away. Decent enough bar but don't expect decent service, we waited over 30 mins for our round of drinks and food to come. My wife and I shared the meat lovers pizza and it wasn't great. For drinks and a game of darts I'd maybe consider going back but for food I'd steer clear
